What is a chemical inventory?
A chemical inventory is a software to manage the compounds stored in your physical inventory. It helps searching into your inventory by giving many search options such as the structure and sub-structure searches. It makes inventory changes a lot faster to make hence helping to keep the inventory up-to-date. It also keeps track of hazardous compounds.
How can I import my data?
Simply send us the spreadsheet of your inventory and we will take care of it.
Do I have to enter all the structures manually?
No. If you provide CAS numbers in your spreadsheet, the structures and safety statements will be automatically generated in most cases. Some structures may also be generated without CAS numbers.
Do I have to enter all the safety statements MSDS manually?
No. If you provide CAS numbers in your spreadsheet, the safety statements and MSDS will be automatically generated in most cases. Some safety statements and MSDS may also be generated without CAS numbers.
Can I search by structure or sub-structure?
Yes.
When will I be up and running?
FindMolecule was designed to be really simple and it is! Once your data are imported, you will be ready in minutes! We can also give you a demo.
Can I copy/paste from/to Chemdraw?
Yes, you will simply need to make a small software installation.
Can I use barcodes?
Yes and it is really easy to use. We can also generate all the barcodes for you if needed. You can also buy pre-printed barcode labels when a lot of labels need to be printed at once.
Which barcode scanner can I use?

Almost any scanner connectable to a computer can do the job. The scanner needs to support code 128, which is the case for probably all scanners. We suggest a wireless scanner for convenience. This scanner is a great choice.

How can I print barcodes?
You can either buy pre-printed barcodes or print the barcodes using a label printer. We suggest this one: Brother P-Touch P700. It is not expensive, it easily prints on laminated labels and it has an automatic cutting option. The plastic film on laminated labels is great to prevent barcodes being erased by solvent spills.
